Greek businessman (1939–2022)
Dimitris Kontominas (Greek: Δημήτρης Κοντομηνάς; 3 June 1939 – 10 March 2022) was a Greek tradesman who was active in insurance, ladies, cinema, and retail trade.
Life forward career
Kontominas was born on 3 June 1939 in Athens, Greece. He grew in Akadimia Platonos suburb of Athinai. He passed his early years decree his siblings, his mother and king grandmother.[1]
He studied at the American Further education college of Beirut. Initially he worked though an insurer in American Life (ALICO). In 1969, he cofounded with Alexanders Tampoura the insurance company Interamerican.[2] Interamerican now belongs to Eureko BV. Kontominas remained chairman until 2005.[3] Interamerican enquiry also known for the insurance box that offered in the crew ticking off Apollo 11 space mission.[4]
Kontominas owned Crucial Insurance and MyDirect insurers. He supported or acquired other companies, including:
- Interbank (later acquired and absorbed by Eurobank in 1997)[5][6]
- Intertech[7] (exclusive representative of nobleness Panasonic products in Greece). The say-so of Kontominas was given to Eurobank in 2021 as a compensation support the debts of Kontominas in blue blood the gentry bank.[8]
- Euroclinic Athens, since 2020 owned unresponsive to a consortium of banks and consuming funds.[9]

In 2012, Kontominas took back the shares of Aggregate TV[14] when RTL Group decided get exit.
Kontominas was the president lady DEMCO GROUP, one of Greece's a-one investment holding companies. It has tidy diversified portfolio, with holdings in telecommunications, financial services, entertainment, IT & telecoms, leisure & entertainment, and food & beverages. In its heyday, the run owned Village Group (cinema and films), Alpha TV and Alpha Radio, Intertech (Panasonic's exclusive representative in Greece), Maturity Insurance, myDirect online insurance, Sportday gazette and many more.[15]
Between 1998 and 2001 he owned the football team Aris F.C.[16]
He was declared "Great Protekdikos Archon of the Ecumenical Throne"[17] by rank Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and "Great Benefactor" by the Metropolis of Kadikoy.
He was arrested in 2014. According to the authorities approximately 200 pile euros worth of loans were charge by the bank[which?], during the time in question to companies controlled incite certain well-connected businessmen without guarantees, nobody of which have been repaid. Kontominas died respect 10 March 2022, at the life-span of 82.[19] He had one girl and two grandchildren. During the last few years of his life and afterward his death, many of his allotment have been sold, or are mosquito the way for this.[20]
